Protocole supported

Post by O2l »

Hello all,

My ISP (french: FREE) offer the stream for part of channels in one playlist:
http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/ freeboxtv/playlist.m3u

mafreebox.freebox.fr is in fact the IP BOX in 192.168.0.254.

I add this URL in "my playlist" but nothing.

The stream is send on rtsp:// protocole intead of the traditional http.
I didn't find the information in your site:
What is the protocole supported by the ss-iptv application?

Thx for this great app.

"My playlist" in app's settings is a list of stream's links. http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/freeboxtv/playlist.m3u is not a stream link, it is playlist's link.
You have to add it in "External playlists" of app's settings, but if you have LG Smart TV, the app won't be able to load your playlist as its link is local. So you need to:
1. Download your playlist on your PC
2. Upload your playlist in the app as an internal one (on the site).

The app works with rtsp protocol

Hello,

Thx Eugene for your quick response.

ok sorry for my missunderstood.

It's a samsung smart TV, i'll check the serie version and how to upload thus playlist.

Maybe this playlist URL can be used for the country france for the initialisation of the app.

Sorry for my english

Sorry, I don't undestand you.
I'm not sure if rtsp works on Samsung Smart TV. We didn't test rtsp streams on such devices

After the installation you have 3 steps for chose country region and provider, i'm thinking the link for my playlist is always the same for all the customer of this provider.
In this case you can add this provider in your app.

But sadly i tested the rtsp URL and the app crash after 3 sec with this protocol.
Some time the app crash after 10 sec after charging the 3 circle button at right top but no streaming at all.

I think Samsung didn't support this protocole.
