USER AGENT

Post by cammysidhu »

Hello.
How to change the default useragent of the stream.
There are few streams that can be played by using custom user agent.
How to change that?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
If possible please provide that option. That could be very useful. Many streams are playable in Samsung TV but those are not playing in lg tv due to useragent.

Why do you think that the reason is user agent?

Because the stream links that I want to play, is locked to certain useragent.
For example, I tried the link to play I vlc player(laptop), it only plays when I use useragent=samsung

Actually not. Even on your browser you can change the user agent with some extension. Safari have that integrated in Developer Mode. VLC have that with the option: vlc <playlist_url> :http-user-agent='FooBar/8.7.4' (written in terminal or cmd). From 2 days i noticed my provider block first the VLC user-agent, today block my LG TV user agent too :/

Maybe it's impossible if you use the TV integrated player. But if you use your own, you can do whatever you want.
If you're interested, i can find any solution for that UserAgent, just i need to know what programming language you're using for the app.
