Can we use variables in external playlist URL?

Is there any way to use variables in external playlist URLSs?
I have a playlist URL that updates each day based on the date. It would be nice if I could just include something like {day}_{mon}_{year} in the URL to substitute the current date.

It's very easy to implement but I'm not sure that such a feature is really useful.
