LG 40UB800V UHD 2K and 4K Streams Bug

First thank you for the work you do.
Next I would like to ask if this problem is known:
I have LG 40UB800V UHD Smart TV and when trying to play 2K or 4K streams I get the screen split in two (different proportions for 2k and 4k).
Here are the sample streams (they are legal and free to access):
4K: http://sample.vodobox.net/skate_phantom ... 2160p.m3u8
2K: http://sample.vodobox.net/skate_phantom ... 1440p.m3u8

Is this a development limit, as in LG does not accept the apps to go higher as 1080 HD?
