LG some channels dont work

Post by bek5 »

Hello,
I have imported an m3u8 list, and everything went perfect including EPG.

However some of the channels do not work. (They do in VLC though)
It only says "Unable to play".
Is there some debug mode or some way to check what actual error is happening under the hood ?

My guess is that you list is containg ansupportet streams or file types, VLC can play almost anything and that is why it works there I would guess. Check your m3u file and see what type of file it is and see if LG supports it. I have not noticed any issues with my LG and my IPTV more then missing EPG on some channels.

All of them are coming from an Enigma2 STB.
I suppose everything is streamed under the same format: mpeg4 over http

EPG is perfect though.

No... Still facing the issue.
Most channels play nicely.

Some streaming from the same place simply show "Unable to play" on a black screen.

check the url, if you have url without m3u8 ext
try to add ?fluxustv.m3u8

e.g.
http://xxxxxxxxx.com:8010/stream/38
change to
http://xxxxxxxxx.com:8010/stream/38?fluxustv.m3u8

Well, I don't have .m3u8 ext...

Each channel looks like this:
http://192.168.0.5:8001/1:0:1:XX:XX:YY:ZZzzzzz:0:0:0:

Does it make sense to add that extension ?

I have the same problem, I have a Samsung Smart UN50NU7090 tv model, some channels dont play, same problem if I use OTTPlayer, the main key is that these channels belong to the same company, and the other key is that I "CAN WATCH ALL" the channels in my PC using VLC or if use an android app, seems to be a kind of filter? Im not sure!
