Functional EPG

Hi administrators.

As I said earlier, the software is very good. However, the EPG has not been very functional, for a considerable channel list.

As you can see below, a large list of channels has a code, which provides a logo, but does not deliver EPG. In some cases (like ORF channels) for a while we had EPG. Not anymore.

Use of external EPG, if not paid for, is not feasible.

When we have the list of channels (and EPG) as a service, it is understandable to invest, especially with paid channels. However, for channels with free signal, available on the internet and that also offer data for EPG generation, it doesn't make much sense. So, if these channels can have internal and functional EPG, it would be very good, due to several factors.

I'm here presenting EPG for German-language channels, but there are also channels in other languages ​​that, likewise, have code but not EPG and are also free.

As I said: If these channels did have EPG, it would be very good. If not for channels not yet identified, at least for channels that already have internal code. Even why, using the software code just to have a logo, it is not necessary. The logos are online, with accessible links. EPG not, and adopt external EPG, that really works, only if you are a provider, not just a user.

We've added EPG for many of the channels from your list. To see EPG for ANIXE Serie, eoTV and K-TV set country code to "at", as we don't have German EPG for them, only Austrian.

Hi Eugene. Thank you so much for your attention and help. I really appreciated. I saw that some channels already appear with the EPG. They are perfect. This is exactly what is needed, nothing more.

As I said before, for these open channels, if there is a minimum EPG, it will be perfect.

Something else I would like to say:

If there is something that, for my part, can be done, so that the other channels can also be identified on SS-IPTV, please say.

Perhaps to correctly identify the channels and the differences between the namesakes (like Augsburg TV German and the Austrian ATV), both known as "a tv".

Augsburg TV = a.tv = www.augsburg.tv
Austrian ATV = ATV and ATV2 = www.atv.at and www.atv2.at
Obs.: Austrian ATV is already identified, by the way and the EPG works fine.

These channels, as well as München TV, Algäu TV Anixe Plus, Aristo TV as well as others, have data for generating EPG and, if correctly identified, tools such as tv_grab_eu_xmltvse can generate their EPG. Of course, if that is the tool used.

Anyway, I thank you again for the quick response and, as I said, if there is anything I can help with, I am here.

I don't know if is still possible to use m3u4u as an external EPG.

I'm trying with this link on the m3u file to add EPG for a few other channels, that supposedly (through m3u4u) can be added.

Certainly something is missing from my syntax, since it has an error message, at the time of ss-iptv download the external EPG.

If you can correct where something is missing (or wrong), I'll appreciate it very much.

I followed the recommendation that is cited in the post (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8827) and even so, the m3u4u xml file gives error when accessing via ss- iptv.

The first line is as suggested. I missed something?

I don't know if someone could help me saying what is missing or wrong on my approach, 'cause I'd like to add these other channels with EPG in my list and if is possible to do this with m3u4u, I'll appreciate any help.

Hello administrators.

I'm only considering using external EPG to not disturb the ss-iptv team to enable EPG for all of these channels. Of course, if all of them were also enabled with EPG via ss-iptv, it will be much simpler.
