Hi all,
I am new in this forum and with the use of SS IPTV. I have a (I hope silly) question.
I have a m3u playlist in my local network which is accessible by all devices within my lan either via smb protocol or ftp protcol or via local web server with no authentication required.
Who can I add the URL of this local playlist in the SS IPTV app of my LG OLED65C9PLA and using which protocol? I tried to add it under "my external playlist" but I get an error.
In VLC it works.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Jacomiz

Re: playlist in local lan (load via url)
You may use http protocol only. Also if you want to use your playlist on the devices of other vendors, you need to add http-header Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *
There is no need in this header for LG devices.

Re: playlist in local lan (load via url)
thank you for the quick reply.
I guess I can use a local ip address as the webserver is not accesible remotely. Am I right?
The reason why I am asking is that I saw the following comment in SS IPTV FAQ:

Re: playlist in local lan (load via url)
This rule does not apply if http-header mentioned above takes place. Also you don't need to worry about it having LG devices.
You surely can use local IPs for external playlists.
